Ten Attorneys Named to World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000

While repeating its successful rankings in the states of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, Frost Brown Todd LLP (FBT) made the rankings in the WTR 1000’s National category (United States) for the first time this year.

Nationally, FBT was one of only 34 firms to be ranked in the 2025 edition of World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000. The WTR 1000 noted that “[b]rand owners trust [FBT’s] cradle-to-grave expertise, benefiting from practical solutions and business-savvy guidance.” The firm “earn[s] the trust of clients across diverse industries. Whether national or global, patrons rely on the firm for expert answers and innovative branding strategies.”

The WTR 1000 also ranks firms at the state level, either by “bands” (gold, silver, and bronze) or as “recommended” (for those states where bands are not yet used as measurement). In the 2025 edition, the WTR 1000 ranked FBT in the Gold band for both Indiana and Ohio, while FBT was listed as Recommended for both Kentucky and Tennessee.

The WTR 1000 also ranks individual attorneys, and a total of ten (10) FBT attorneys in the firm’s Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee offices were named to the 2025 edition. Indianapolis Partners Matthew Clark (Silver band), Eric Lamb (Gold band), Connie Lindman (Silver band), and Matt Schantz (Silver band) qualified for the list, as well as Ohio Partners John Bennett (Bronze band), Matt Delaney (Silver band), Sam Quimby (Gold band), and Kevin Shook (Bronze band). Rounding out the list from FBT are Partners Cindy Stewart (Recommended in Kentucky) and Carl Eppler (Recommended for Tennessee).

The WTR 1000 is an annual report that highlights attorneys worldwide with deep expertise in trademark law and lists the “world’s leading trademark professionals.” The ranking is based on recommendations from market sources familiar with their work as well as lengthy interviews with attorneys and clients involved with trademarks. This is the 11th year FBT has been included in the WTR 1000.
