Frost Brown Todd, an AM Law 200 law firm, is opening its twelfth office in the downtown area of Pittsburgh with the addition of 10 attorneys formerly with the law firm Burleson LLP. With this opening, Frost Brown Todd enhances its Energy industry practice and expands its presence to eight states – Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and now Pennsylvania.

“As our Energy practice continues to grow, we view this new office as a strong strategic fit for our firm,” said Chairman John R. Crockett III. “It enhances our ability to serve clients in the oil and gas sector, and it brings us into Pittsburgh, a market that is a natural addition to our footprint.”

“We’re fortunate to open our doors in Pittsburgh with a group of quality, experienced attorneys who are part of this community, who know this market, and who bring exceptional depth to our Energy practice and other areas where the firm is strong,” said Chief Executive Officer George E. Yund. “Pittsburgh is a vibrant city and we’re very happy to be a part of it.”

Kevin Colosimo, formerly with Burleson LLP, is the Member-In-Charge of the Pittsburgh office. “We’re so excited to be part of Frost Brown Todd, a strong, growing firm that takes a long-term view in its commitment to the Energy sector,” he said. “With our combined resources, we believe that we are well-positioned to provide a high level of service to clients.”

“In terms of litigation capability, Frost Brown Todd expands the depth and breadth of our capabilities very significantly,” said Andrew Jenkins, who joins Frost Brown Todd as a Member after having led the litigation practice at Burleson’s Pittsburgh office.

Along with litigation, the move brings the mergers, acquisitions and due diligence team from Burleson to Frost Brown Todd. “These lawyers are directly responsible for billions of dollars in asset transactions across Appalachia. Adding the depth and experience of Frost Brown Todd means we can handle more of the large, highly-sophisticated oil and gas transactions for our clients,” said Colosimo.
